About 'Petroprognostica'

Order from chaos. Pebbles - the size and shape of a euro - on an Alaska beach - demonstrate the thermodynamic equilibrium between minimum energy & maximum entropy. Outside of Exxon's work, the role of thermodynamics in depositional environments has been neglected.
​The only thing we know for certain about any reservoir description of a petroleum reservoir is that it is wrong. The robustness of the oil recovery process to reservoir heterogeneity is then a crucial consideration for commercial development. Our approach is to apply basic physics & chemistry, grounded in empirical observations, to provide a reference for oil production forecasting. This approach has led us to surprising insights that contradict prevailing doctrines & predict inflection points that are smudged away by conventional finite difference simulations.  

Our Resources

We work in close collaboration with world class simulation engineers and experimental laboratories. We can design, oversee, and integrate a program to define & implement optimal voidage management in commercial waterfloods.

The neologism 'petroprognostica' is no doubt pretentious, but I do take encouragement that Johan Kepler, the celebrated astronomer, made his living primarily out of reading horoscopes for his clients!
